While, many nutrition experts and scientists have ascribed this enduring ability of the Hunza people to their diet, and lifestyle.

Hunza have also one of the highest literacy rates as compared to other similar districts in Pakistan.

Some Locals states that Hunza may have been associated with the lost kingdom of Shangri La which was mentioned in the Novel of James Hilton "The Lost Horizon".

The people of Hunza descend from the village of Baltit, which had been founded by a soldier left behind from the army of Alexander the Great a legend common to much of Afghanistan and northern Pakistan.

BURUSHO. The Burushos also known as Hunzus, Hunzukuts, and Burushaskis are a mountain people who live primarily in Hunza State and Nagir State in Pakistan. They live in deep valleys and gorges cut by the Hunza River and its tributaries, currently, the population of the Burushos exceeds 60,000 people.

Day 01: Friday 29th June 2018
Hunza Valley Tour | Islamabad to Batakundi

On this day we will depart for Kaghan Valley. The passage will pass through Haripur, Abbottabad and Balakot. The road has one of the most amazing landscapes and scenery. We will witness lush green hills, freshwater streams, glacier, and alpine trees. We will make some quick stops for tea and breakfast at Mansehra. After arrival at Batakundi will take some rest for some time.

Day 02: Saturday 30th June 2018
Hunza Valley Tour | Batakundi to Hunza Valley

The sunshine will make the aesthetics of the valley very vibrant and beautiful, a good time for photography on the way. The road passes through the Lulusar Lake, will take a short stay at the lake and take a tea break at Babusar Pass (4173 m). A smooth shift from lush greens hills to rugged dry mountains by entering Chillas.
The 8th wonder of the world “The Karakoram Highway” (KKH), we will witness Nanga Parbat (8,126m) from the KKH, will have a stop at Rakaposhi (7,788 m) viewpoint before arriving at hotel in Hunza Valley.

Day 03: Sunday 1st June 2018
Hunza Valley | Altit Fort & Baltit Fort
On this day, according to medical norms; one should simply relax and acclimatize before going up on higher altitudes. In the meantime, we will have a lot of interactions with local historians, musicians and storytellers while visiting the historic Baltit Fort (700 years old) and Altit fort (900 years old) where you can find the pure norms of the People of Hunza.
We will visit “The Leif Larson Music School” was constructed by the Ciqam social women enterprise, using local materials and vernacular architecture. It was jointly funded by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Islamabad (47%) and the Aga Khan Music Initiative (53%)

We will have quality time in the “Khabasi Café” in Royal Gardens where we will be served one of the most delicious local foods, will visit Duikar before the sunset where we will experience the sunset on the mighty Karakoram Mountains.

Day 04: Monday 2nd June 2018
Hunza Valley Tour | Khunjerab Pass (Pak-China Border)
This day participants will depart for Pak-China Border (Khunjerab Pass – highest road border in the world) which is one the best road trips of Hunza valley tour. Participants will pass through the 1,000 years old civilization of Ganish. They will see the ancient rock carvings and sacred rocks. The participants will travel along Attabad Lake after a half hour time from Ganish Bridge. The Karakoram Highway in the Upper Hunza has a lot to offer.
The participants will pass through Hussaini Glacier and Passu Village. On the way they will see Shispar Peak (7,611 m), Passu Peak (7,284 m) and the famous Passu Cones/Cathedral (above 6,000 m). The participants will cross through Wildlife Conservation Area in Khyber and enter Khunjerab National Park in Deh. Upon arrival on the world’s highest border Khunjerab Pass (4,733 m),
Take pictures of the mesmerizing landscape. On return we will get shopping in Sost.

This day we will travel back to Naran / Kaghan Valley and will take quick stops on the way. Participants will reach Naran in the afternoon. Upon arrival to Naran, Participants can visit Naran Bazaar.

Day 07: Thursday 5th June 2018
Naran to Lahore City

We will continue our journey towards Lahore and will take quick stops on the way. It will take approximately 11-12 hours to reach Lahore from Naran. Upon arrival in Lahore Tour will come to an end.
